HART member, Geoff Middleton worked alongside a number of colleagues Dr Richard Keegan (University of Canberra) and Dr Mark Smith (University of Lincoln), Dr Markos Klonizakis (Sheffield Hallam University) and Dr Ahmad Alkhatib to produce the final publication from a small intervention trial studying the effects of the Mediterranean diet and exercise on the efficiency of the microcirculatory system in older adults. This new article explores the ‘lessons learned’ by the research team with the perspectives of the research participants taking central focus in a qualitative study.
